Imagine your mornings six weeks from now.

You sit down with your child for their reading lesson. You know exactly what to teach. You know what to say. You know what to do if they get stuck. The lesson takes 20 minutes and it works. Your child feels the progress. You feel the confidence. And instead of dreading the next session, they ask when it's happening again. That's what having the right roadmap actually looks like.

Here's what Kate's students say

Mum's Proactive Choice Changed Everything...

Christina watched her older son struggle with reading and writing, and she was determined to give her younger daughter, Olivia, a different experience. She knew that waiting until school started wasn't the best option.
Before Olivia even began school, Christina enrolled her in the Foundation 1 Programme. She understood that early intervention would make all the difference, addressing any potential difficulties before they became major roadblocks. After just eight months, the results were incredible. Olivia started school with a love for learning and self-confidence that bloomed. She was already reading simple cvc words and writing sentences.
This strong foundation allowed her to focus her energy on making new friends and settling into school, while her learning continued with ease.

"Olivia always wants to watch your videos, Kate," says Christina. "She watches them many times, it has helped her confidence to talk in English and understand others."

Don't wait for your child to fall behind. Learning to read using the right strategies as a beginning reader and also early intervention for struggling readers, can make a world of difference.
Enrol now and you can give your child the same head start as Olivia.

Struggling Readers
: your child may have started school already, but are not making expected progress within the first year of school. Access the Quick Quiz course or the 20 / 40 week phonics check (found within the programme) to determine exactly what your child's next steps are, either Foundation 1 or Foundation 2. Starting with Foundation 1 will allow them time to relearn and fill in the gaps of what they have missed. If your child is at the end of Foundation 1 but not ready for Foundation 2, use the CVC BOOSTER as a recap, then go onto Foundation 2.

English Language Learners:
This course has a strong focus on language development and is suitable for beginning English learners, each lesson is well supported with a lesson print out to support understanding. All new English Learners should start at Foundation 1 to establish the essential skills and language.

What does self-paced mean?

This means that the learning scope and sequence of lessons, can be slowed down, repeated and revisited anytime. We are looking for 80% mastery before moving on to a new set of sounds. If your child needs more practice or to repeat lessons, this is easy to do. You set the schedule and monitor their progress with the testing and tracking sheets inside the handbook. The programme is best be implemented full-time at 3 video lesson per week and can be implemented part-time or full-time to cover the first year of learning.

What is Foundation 1 & 2 ?

Foundation 1 is the starting point for your child as a beginning reader. It focuses on the scope of sequence of sounds that is based on the first 26+ letters / graphemes of the alphabet. The programme focusses on phonological and phonemic skills and reading and writing with VC / CVC words and heart words. This programme includes the full course, complete handbook and interactive lesson plans, printable activities and templates, and parent membership to ensure you have ALL the tools, guidance and training that you and your child will need to succeed.

How does my child learn in this programme?

Kate works as the 'teacher' and as the parent you support by working alongside during the video lesson and using the follow up games and activities. Each video lesson is approx. 15 -20 min long, it is interactive and expects that your child will do the tasks alongside watching Kate. Kate has a strong philosophy of explicit teaching, which means she models each activity, then we do the activity together, next your child follows up the practice independently with games and activities. The teaching and learning is based on The Science of Reading which is fully explained in the parent module of the course. The programme works best with a weekly routine of 3 lessons per week of approx. 30 min, on alternate days you can use the games and activities for practice and revision.

What about travel families?

The Kid World Reader programme has been designed for travel, world school and homeschool families. You can access the course from anywhere in the world, log in, plug & play and learn anytime! The course is also fully digital, so you don't need to print out and carry around heavy folders with all the course material - everything can be accessed online. You have the option to also print out everything you need - the choice is yours. The scope and sequence of learning will keep your child moving and on track with each next learning step in reading and writing. The programme allows for flexibility with routines, if you are travelling for the week, simply take a break and pick up again the next week.
